Evaluating Industrial Efficiency Based on Parallel DEA Model—Take Three Major Industrial Economies of Chinese 30 Provinces as an Example
As industrial structure plays an increasingly important role in economic development, industrial economy has drawn more public attention worldwide. Its efficiency evaluation becomes a popular issue in recent years. The Industrial structure, which is reasonable and has been adjusted timely, is able to advance economy to grow rapidly and steadily. This paper considers a regional economy consisting of three parallel major industrial economies and evaluates industrial economic efficiency of 30 provinces (cities) in China with parallel data envelopment analysis (DEA) method. In this way, decision making units (DMUs) can be fully evaluated, also, how the regional macro-system continuously optimizes the industrial structure and improves the efficiency of industry input-output can be pointed out. It is very significant to guide decision-makers to make right decisions to develop economy.
