Discourse upon Harmonious Development Between Fruit Production and Environment Based on Material Cycle Principles in China
Based on material cycle and regenerative principles, the characteristics of fruit production and orchard water-fertilizer management in different historical periods were reviewed. Through analyzing the mutual relationship between fruit production and orchard environment in different periods, it was indicated that modern and ecological cultivation patterns of fruit were inevitable choice to implement sustainable development of fruit production in China. In the modern and ecological patterns, it is the key points to improve bio-diversity in fruit orchards, and to set up the modern and ecological fruit orchard systems where fruit and other species can harmoniously survive together, improve and condition mutually based on the principles of bio-diversity and bio-adaptability. The ultimate purpose is to implement fertility, stabilization, lower consumption and higher efficiency in fruit production; meanwhile, to improve the ecological environment in fruit orchards stage by stage.
