Applications of Narcissus from Europe in Suzhou Gardens
The investigation into applications of narcissus from Europe in Suzhou gardens shows that cultivars of narcissus from Europe grow well because of its strong environment adaptability and slight degradation. Most of them can live through the dormant period in outdoor. 10 suitable cultivars are recommended to be planted as pot flower and parterre planting. Narcissus is ordinarily used as ground cover plants which the ornamental state can be maintained for many years after planting, but their ornamental state is not good in dormant stage. It is interplanted with sedum in outdoor and its abundance of beauty with minimum care can come true. It will play a important role in urban greening with the improvement of economy and peoples living standard in Suzhou.
