Planning and Management of Cultural Heritage Sites and Landscape of Surrounding Cities and Towns
During the process of Chinese rapid urbanization, the cultural heritage sites and their surrounding cities and towns gradually lost regional characteristics and landscape differences, and hence the serious feature elimination crisis. In this paper, the development course of protection of cultural heritage sites is discussed, the coordination and integration of regional overall landscape demonstrating the basic idea of planning and management of cultural heritage sites and the landscape of their surrounding cities and towns is pointed out, and the Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site is taken for example to discuss the strategies of planning and management of cultural heritage sites and the landscape of their surrounding cities and towns in terms of the protection scope of sites, construction control areas, eco-environmental conservation areas, regional spatial landscape-level, landscape systems, landscape corridors and the renovation and management of landscape of surrounding cities and towns.
