Conservation and Utilization of the Jingyi Garden in Fragrant Hills
As a famous imperial garden of Qing Dynasty, the conservation of the Jingyi Garden in Fragrant Hills, this historic garden, has become the focus of the conservation work of Chinese historic gardens at present. Based on the comprehensive survey of the Garden, this paper tends to analyze the existing problems occurring in the course of conservation and utilization, and puts forward some suggestions separately from macroscopic to microcosmic. The conservation of the Jingyi Garden needs definite value orientation and views Three Hills and Five Gardens located at the northwest suburb of Beijing as a whole in a controlled manner. It is feasible to apply for the World Cultural Heritage together with other several imperial gardens.
