GIS-based Study on Green Space System in Nanjing City

摘要：

The purpose of this paper is to systematically analyze the urban green space system in Nanjing city. By using the aerial image data and geographic information system, this paper extracts the information about Nanjing urban green land distribution. Through quantitative analysis from the angles of scales, functions and structures, this paper summarizes the important characters (e.g., not systematic, unevenness, the lack of recreational functions and refuge open space), and argues the way to improve the green space system in Nanjing city. This paper also suggests ascertaining the methods and objectives for further green space planning through a deep understanding of the characteristics of historical evolution.
