Greenbelts Management Mode and Operation in Shanghai—Green space conservation and management in Expo parks
In this paper, the greenbelts management mode and running status in Shanghai are discussed, and the green conservation and management in the World Expo Park is approached. After a long period of practice and exploration, a relatively mature and effective management model has been formed in Shanghai. It includes the establishment of different levels and different types of management bodies which constitute a relatively complete horizontal and vertical management system, development of technical standards and procedures, and the implementation of differential managements. Management operation mode is as follows: establishing conservation programs and measures and making the quality control during the maintenance process; setting up inspection mechanisms and implementing a grid-based management for continuous improvement; trying to make sustainable maintenance in greenbelts managements in practice. To ensure the modes normal operation, it is necessary to carry out personnel training, policy research and emergency management. As well as the scientific supports such as pest control, soil remediation, and information technology are needed. Many good practices and experiences of greenbelts managements are applied in Expo parks; it is a practical test for Shanghai greenbelts maintenance mode and operation methods.
