Ecological Regeneration and Landscape Reclamation of Urban Landfills
With the rapid urban sprawl, many Chinese cities are suffering from the plight of surrounded by trashes . Utilizing ecological methods to regenerate urban landfills economic and social values, and give the site a new aesthetic meaning via landscape approaches are extremely significant for the health of regional ecosystems, local economy and life quality of surrounding communities. This paper summarizes different methods and sustainable approaches during the process of ecological regeneration, aims to find out useful design principles via a serious of case studies. Landscape Architecture is one of the most significant mediums to help city breakthrough the surrounding of trashes.
