FACE AND TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT SURFACE SEGREGATION IN PT25RH75 ALLOY
Using the embedded-atom-method potentials, the composition depth profiles of Pt25Rli75 alloy are calculated with the Monte Carlo simulation method based on grand canonical ensemble. It is found that the outermost surface is enriched with platinum and the platinum concentration oscillates toward the bulk value. An increasing platinum segregation with increasing temperature is predicted by the proposed model, which shows a face and temperature-dependent segregation.
