NUMERICAL METHOD AND ANALYSIS FOR SINGLE-PHASE INCOMPRESSIBLE FLOW IN NATURALLY FRACTURED RESERVOIRS

The numerical methods and analysis for the mathematical model for single-phase incompressible flow in naturally fractured reservoirs Eire considered. The mixed finite element method is adopted for the pressure equation. The alternating direction method combining with the method of characteristic are considered for the concentration equation in the fissures, and alternating direction method is proposed for the concentration equation in the matrix blocks. Optimal error estimates in L2-norm and //-norm are derived for the characteristic alternating direction finite element method.
