A HIGH RESOLUTION FINITE VOLUME METHOD ON UNSTRUCTURED MESHES
1 Introduction There is a class of important Euler type numerical method to deal with unsteady flow. Their common idea is to split the control equations of fluid dynamics into two parts.One takes into account the effect of the pressure gradient. The other calculates the distribution of transport. Then the two parts are discretized respectively. So a time marching step consists of two steps. This kind of methods includes PIC 1, FLIC 2,3 (Large Particle) and so on.They play an important role in computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The idea of these methods has a great influence upon development of CFDs numerical methods.
