3D WAVE EQUATION PRESTACK DEPTH MIGRATION BASED ON WAVEFIELD SYNTHESIZING

3D prestack depth migration is the main step for complex structures imaging. And shot-profile 3D prestack depth migration is commonly used. In this paper, 3D prestack depth migration based on wavefield synthesizing is presented. Two wave-field synthesizing methods, i.e., the planewave synthesizing method and the phase encoding method, are discussed. Wavefield extrapolation is implemented by the split-step Fourier method and the Fourier finite-difference method. Moreover, for the Fourier finite-difference method, the two-way splitting algorithm and the four-way splitting algorithm are discussed. Numerical results for the 3D SEG/EAEG model with MPI parallel are accomplished, and show that 3D prestack depth migra-tion based on wavefield synthesizing method with the two-way splitting algorithm has high imaging precision. It can be applied in field data processing.
