A novel anaerobic microscopical quantitative approach

Introduction The anaerobic digestion is attracting more and more interests due to its advantages such as low cost and recovery of clean energy etc. Generally the approaches utilized to study the anaerobic process are too global as the reactor is considered as a black box without a reasonable understanding of various mechanisms involved1.In this study a novel quantitative approach to explore the anaerobic process at micro scale was developed.
