Promoted 2,4,6-trichlorophenol (TCP) removal by means of extra carbon

1. Introduction As a carcinogenic, teratogenic, mutagenic refractory organic matter, 2, 4, 6trichlorophenol (TCP) is difficult to be degradated and mineralized. Currently, this study would regards the TCP as the only carbon source and the only energy without taking into account the impact of putting external carbon source into the process of microbial degradation of TCP. For organic matter like TCP, it can be degradated and mineralized under different carbon source. The degradation rate and mechanism of biodegradable organic matter is different under different carbon source. Purpose of this study is to compare the biodegradation and mineralization of TCP under different carbon source.
