The investigation on the relationship between the particles structure and the modification efficiency of starch with DTC

1. Introduction The natural starch which was modified with dithiocarbamic acid (DTC) had excellent adsorption capacity to heavy metal ions in wastewater. But the modified starch coming from different plants had different adsorption capacity to the same heavy metal ions. In view of this, we selected five kinds of starch coming from corn, potato, glutinous rice, mung bean and sweet potato to analysize the relationship between the particles structure and the modification efficiency of starch with DTC.
