The titanium dioxide thin films prepared by vacuum evaporation coating methods to degradation of phenol in sewage
The purpose of the investigation was to study TiO2 thin films deposited by a device for the vacuum coating and the photocatalytic degradation of phenol using them in a rectangular annular reactor. Titanium dioxide thin films were respectively prepared though plating by vacuum evaporation on common glass plate, stainless steel plate, titanium plate and copper plate. Thin films are uniform distribution, dense, continuous without fracture on the surface of carrier. And the film thickness is average 60nm. There has not only Ti, but also other elements on surface of films. The experimental results indicated the removal rate of phenol is reduced along with the increase of number of use. But the amplitude is smaller decline. It will be restore somewhat placing a time.
