DBP Formation under Different Temperatures

1. Introduction Given the huge potential health risks of disinfection byproducts (DBPs), many nations have enacted regulations to control DBP formation. Although there have been certain studies and reports on how temperatures affect DBP formation, most of them have been focused on a narrow temperature range. In this study, a larger temperature range was considered in DBP formation under the uniform formation condition, and the effects of temperature on DBP formation were discussed. This discussion will be conductive to DBP formation simulation and prediction in an actual water utility.
