Photocatalytic decomposition of Perfluorooctanoic Acid (PFOA) by Indium oxide
Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA)-an environmental persistent organic pollutant has been globally found in water, air, wildlife and humans. Furthermore, it has shown toxic and carcinogenic effects on human health 1. Due to its particular stability, PFOA is resistant to decomposition by conventional treatment technologies including TiO2 photocatalysis.
