Characteristics of Airborne Microorganisms Emission from Wastewater
BACKGROUND As parts of bioaerosols, airborne microorganisms, such as fungi, bacteria, pollen, yeasts and algae, are inevitable consequence in the process of handling wastewater treatment plants. They were considered to be closely correlated with air pollution and were supposed to have health damage on site workers1. They might be also hazardous to surrounding population as they can be transported over long distances by wind.
