Characterization of CeO2-WO3 catalysts prepared by different methods for selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3

1. Introduction Nitrogen oxides (NO, NO2, N2O) in the exhaust gases from combustion of fossil fuels are a major cause for photochemical smog, acid rain, and ozone depletion. Selective catalytic reduction of NOX with NH3 (NH3-SCR) is an effective and economical method to remove NOX. Nowadays, Ceria oxide (CeO2) has received much attention for SCR of NOX due to its promotion effect for NOX removal 1﹣2.
