Measures to reduce air pollution in thermal power plant desulfurization
Background topics As of the end of 2010, the countrys electricity installed capacity reached 962 million kilowatts, ranking second in the world, of which thermal power is 707 million kilowatts, accounting for 73% of the total installed capacity, thermal power generation accounts for about 80% of total electricity generation capacity over consumption coal 1.6 billion tons. Currently thermal power industry volume of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions account for more than 40% of total emissions. Meanwhile, although Chinas power installed capacity has been ranked second in the world, but the per capita level of only 0.74 kilowatts, the power industry in China there is considerable room for development. Moreover, Chinas energy structure determined for a long period of time will continue to increase capacity of coal-fired units, thermal power plant emissions of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and soot will still increase.
