An approximate method for computing the aerodynamic characteristics and its application for solving variational problems of supersonic aerodynamics

A mathematical model for local interaction of a flow with a body surface is considered that is based on the tangent wedge method refined with numerical results on determining the ideal gas flow around a body. Accuracy of determining the aerodynamic coefficients of configurations type the lifting body is analyzed. This model is used for solving the problem of optimization a shape of descent space vehicle type Clipper.
