Design, Manufacture and Tests of Multi-Mode Nozzles for Hypersonic Wind Tunnel
To obtain high-quality experimental results, the measurement must be performed in high-uniform flows, which is provided in wind tunnels by thoroughly profiled nozzles which accelerate the working gas up to the assigned velocity. Almost all available wind tunnels involve one-mode nozzles designed for one Mach number. These nozzles are manufactured in special equipment with high precision, their price is high and amount is limited and hence the quantity of wind tunnel working modes is limited, too.
