New Ideas for the Integrated Management of the Construction Projects

Based on the integrated management theory and the project management theory, new ideas for the integrated management of the construction projects are put forward and its conceptual model is built up according to the characteristics of construction projects in this paper. The model contains two layers of meanings. On the one hand, as viewed from the various stages of construction projects the corresponding beam of the integrated management is selected and mapped in each stage to carry out the integrated management according to the characteristics of each stage. On the other hand, as viewed from the entire process of construction projects, a bi-level programming model is used to describe the thought of the whole process integrated management of the construction projects. The bi-level programming model can coordinate the partial goals of the various stages and the total objective of the whole process of the construction projects. The conceptual model proposed in this paper accords with the characteristics of construction projects and the current construction procedures.
