Preliminary Study of the Digital Construction Project Management

摘要：

With the advent of the information age, advanced technologies have developed rapidly and the traditional construction project management cannot meet the needs of present construction, thus leading to a contradiction between large project quantities and limited human resources. Consequently Digital Management begins to exhibit its unique value. Initially, this paper is set out to trace the problems of traditional project management, the connotation of digital management and its application in construction projects. Further, the paper tends to focus on three aspects: namely the geographic information system (GIS), Remote Video Monitoring Systems and IC card of migrant laborer with real-name registration. Finally, we make the conclusion that the digital management can greatly improve the efficiency, and reduce costs & waste. Therefore, the implementation of digital construction project management is highly recommended in this paper.
