Essence Research on the Sustainable Development of Greening Building: from Green Building to Green Life

摘要：

Three pillars of sustainable development are economic, environment and society. Economic is from climate change, global warming to low carbon economy; environment is from green building, sustainable building to low carbon building; social is from LOVOS, LOHAS, SLOHAS to blue zones. The paper discusses emerging international debates arising from evolving concepts and methods to quantify and qualify sustainability for the industry, opportunity cost of greening and speculates the future of green buildings.
