Research on the Impact of Harbin Metro Line One on Housing Prices
Harbin Metro Line One construction has inflated housing prices seventeen percent during the first two years of construction from 2008 to 2010. General, regional and other factors are compared by calculating and comparing their Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) coefficients. General factors have an overall impact on housing prices while regional factors have a decisive influence on housing prices in the related area. Previously, housing prices were only described by a qualitative analytical method. AHP quantifies Harbin Metro construction’s impact on housing prices both qualitatively and quantitatively. It also provides real estate appraisers a new method for calculating value and a reference for consumers to determine price.
