The Evolution of Urban land Use Structure in Harbin Based on Information Entropy
Entropy can be used to describe the existing status of a system, its variation can also be considered as the orientation of the system evolution. This paper analyzed the evolution process of the urban land use structure from 1998 to 2010 in Harbin and combined its information entropy with urban landscape diversity of land cover, which showed the complexity of urban land use structure of Harbin. The data of the urban land use information entropy of Harbin shows that its urban land use structure from 2000 to 2009 has experienced a process of decrease-increase-decrease. The economic development and urbanization has enlarged the urban land use scale and all the land use types has increased gradually. The balance degree of the urban land use structure has changed accordance with the information entropy. The general trend of the balance degree declined which implied the unbalanced land use style in Harbin these years. According to the analysis of the dynamic variation of information entropy, valid measures were put forward to curb the entropy production of urban land use system, which will make the system sound development and sustainable development of our society and economy.
urban land use structure information entropy system evolution sustainable.
