Study on Driving Forces of Land Use Change of Heilongjiang Reclamation: A Case of Mudanjiang Reclamation

The analysis on driving forces of land use change is the important basis for decision-making in ensuring regional sustainable development. This paper selects Mudanjiang reclamation area in Heilongjiang province as the study area and takes the use of the Delphi method to select indicators of driving forces of land use change on the perspective of society and economy. By multiple contribution diagnosis of each index to carry on stepwise regression screening, using principal component analysis with the help of SPSS, this paper establishes the regression model between indicators and land use type. The results showed that the pasture of Mudanjiang reclamation area grew fastest from the year 1999 to 2008, followed by farmland, forest land and construction land. Land unused reduced sharply, however, water area and garden plot decreased with little range. The increases of economic aggregate and employed population were the driving forces of land use change. The total power output of agricultural machinery, the per-capita net income and the number of employees were the main driving forces of land use change in Mudanjiang reclamation area.
