MONODISPERSED MOLECULARLY IMPRINTED POLYMERS FOR AFFINITY-BASED SEPARATION AND EXTRACTION
Monodispersed molecularly imprinted polymers ( MIPs) were prepared by a multi-step swelling and polymerization method or precipitation polymerization method. The obtained MIPs could be utilized as affinity-based separation media. Furthermore, restricted access media (RAM)-MIPs for a pseudotemplate compound were prepared by a multi-step swelling and polymerization method followed by in situ hydrophilic surface modification technique. The obtained RAM-MIPs could be utilized for classspecific extraction of drugs in environmental samples.
