DETECTION OF ASCORBIC ACID USING BOVINE SERUM ALBUMIN PROTECTED-SILVER NANOCLUSTERS
We established a simple spectrometric method for detection of ascorbic acid using bovine serum albumin protected-silver nanoclusters (BSA-AgNCs). In the presence of ascorbic acid, silver nanoparticles (NPs) could form in BSA-AgNCs solution at room temperature, showing a strong absorption band at 420 nm. The absorbance change at 420 nm has good relationship with ascorbic acid concentration in the range from 2. 0 to 50. 0 μM.
