DETECTION OF HEPATITIS B VIRUS DNA BY ELECTROCHEMICAL BIOSENSOR
The detection of hepatitis B virus (HBV) DNA have been become an important tool for the diagnosis of HBV infectioa In this work, an electrochemical DNA biosensor was prepared by immobilizing sulfydrylmodified ssDNA probe with particular DNA sequence of HBV on the gold electrode surface using self-assembly technique. The response of the biosensor to HBV DNA sequence was examined by Linear Sweep Voltammetry (LSV) using Hoechst 33258 as an electroactive indicator. The result showed there was a linear relationship between the concentration of complementary DNA with HS-ssDNA probe and A/p(the current difference of the oxidizaton peak). Furthemore, we have demonstrated the successful application of this biosensor for detecting HBV DNA in serum samples. It indicated that electrochemical DNA biosensor has great potential application in the recognition and detection of specific DNA.
