GOLD NANOPARTICLES WITH DIFFERENT SIZE AS ASSISTED MATRIX FOR THE DETECTION OF SMALL MOLECULES THROUGH LASER DESORPTION/IONIZAnON TIME-OF-FLIGHT MASS SPECTROMETRY
In this paper, citrate-capped AuNPs with different size are used as assisted matrix for the detection of small molecules. The small AuNPs (~17 nm) was more stable and more efficient as matrix than large AuNPs (~50 nm), especially in a high-salt solution. We also used AuNPs (~17 nm) for the detection of various small molecules, which have different aquatic solubility. The detection of small molecules which are not soluble in water, by LDI—TOF MS with the matrixes of AuNPs, was very difficult and requires further work.
