HIGHLY EFFICIENT PRE-CONCENTRATION OF DNA AT A NEW MICRONANO JUNCTION
A new nanofluidic junction comprised of a capillary fracture and Nafion was prepared, and efficient DNA preconcentration at a very sharp point inside the capillary was achieved based on concentration polarization (CP) effect. Up to 800 V bias could be applied without any damage to the interface, and above 103 fold electropreconcentration of SYBR Green I labeled dsDNA was shown at the fracture inside the capillary within 15 s. The capillary chip could be used as a reliable platform for micro-nanofluidic studies, and play an important role for high efficient injection preconcentration for chip electrophoresis analysis for low abundance biomolecules.
