GENE EXPRESSION PROFILING OF AD3 INFECTED HEP2 CELL LINE
To understand the molecular mechanism of host responses to AD3 infection, we preformed cDNA microarray to profile the kinetics and patterns of host gene expression in AD3 infected human laryngeal epithelial cells. We have identified 3 625 genes with more than 2. 0 fold changes in mRNA expression and performed Gene Ontology analysis to classify these genes into different functional groups. GO analysis revealed that expression of proteins involved in most of the biological processes such as cell cycle, cellular development, and transcription regulation were suppressed at 48 h by AD3 infection. Expression of proteins involved in the immune responses and apoptosis were decreased at late stage of infection. Our findings illustrate the overall host response to AD3 infection, and will aid in understanding the host response to AD3 at the late stage of viral infection.
