GENECHIP ARRAY SHOWED A PROMOTION OF GENES RELATED TO ABA BIOSYNTHESIS AND SIGNALS IN RICE SEEDLINGS AFTER THE IMPLANTATION WITH LOW-ENERGY NITROGEN ION BEAM
ABA plays important roles in many cellular processes including environmental stress responses. In order to investigate the roles of ABA in stimulation effect induced by ion-beam implantation, we analyzed the genes related to ABA biosynthesis and signals from genechip array data for the gene expression profiles in rice seedlings after implantation with ion beam. The results showed that five genes related to ABA biosynthesis were up-regulated in the promoted-growth rice seedlings germinating from the seeds implanted with ion-beam, at the same time, many kinases, transporters, signals were involved in ABA signaling transduction were up-regulated. These findings suggested the importance of ABA in adapting to the ion-beam radiation stress.
