ELECTROSPINNING VASCULAR SCAFFOLDS OF POLY(L-LACTIDE)
Electrospinning is a useful method to prepare continuous polymer fibers which with diameters range to sub-microa In this work, poly(L-lactide) (PLA) scaffolds were made by electrospinning at different applications and then characterized by SEM to examine the morphology of fibers. When the voltage was 10 kV, the electrospun PLA fibers performed separately and porously. The obtained PLA scaffolds with micro/nano porous, structural surface, which were similar to natural extracellular matrix. In addition, the specific structures of electrospun PLA scaffolds make it to be an excellent candidate for drug delivery.
