Effect of Bacillus cereus, a plant growth promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR) on Fusarium root and stalk rot pathogen of sorghum
Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench is an important cereal crop and is grown in 44 million ha, in tropical, semi-arid and temperate regions of the world with remarkable range of adaptability under diverse environmental conditions. India ranks second largest producer of grain sorghum after USA. In spite of high yield potential and excellent adaptability, it is prone to various diseases and pests. Fusarium root and stalk rot disease complex involving Fusarium moniliforme affects sorghum plants at all stages of growth.
