Bio-management of disease complex in Gladiolus by using PGPR

Gladiolus grandiflorus is seriously hampered by disease complex caused by Meloidogyne incognita and Fusarium oxysporum Schelecht. f.sp. gladioli (Masey) Snyder and Hans. These two pathogens reduce the productivity to the tune of 40％ ~ 60％. Indiscriminate use of chemical pesticides proved ecologically hazardous. Hence it was thought to standardize a ecofriendly approach to manage the disease complex in gladiolus using Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacetria (PGPR).
