Research on Conservative Mechanism Time Management in Maintenance Support Simulation
HLA (High Level Architecture) is a standard developed by the US Department of Defense to achieve the interoperation and the reuse of simulation. Time management is an important component of HLA while Time Advance Mechanism is RTI (Run-Time infrastructure)’s critical technology in implementing time management. Time Advance Mechanism can be divided into two classes that are Conservative Time Advance Mechanism and Optimistic Time Advance Mechanism. The based premise of Conservative Time Advance Mechanism is that physics system can settle for Realizability and Predictability. The content of Predictability is that system can predict the t+ε (ε>0) time event in t time. But Equipment Maintenance Federate can’t predict the next event time in Maintenance Support Simulation because of infection from other federate. So maintenance support simulation results in deadliness error of RTI. The paper proposes a Federate TimeList method for improves Conservative Event-driven Time Advance Mechanism in HLA. Finally, an example of the maintenance support simulation composed by two federate is particular researched. Analysis shows that this strategy satisfies the maintenance support simulation effectively, and also can be used as an example of time management for other similar analysis simulation systems.
