IUR alliances, Technological Innovation and New Venture Growth: A Case Study on Wens Group
Technological innovation is an important strategy to overcome the liability of newness, and to deal with the dynamic and competitive environment for new venture. But new venture start with a high degree of scarcity of resources, so, these firms need industry-university-research (IUR) alliances to advance technology innovation with the use of external resources, especially for agriculture venture. Based on the case study of Wens Group, this paper shows how the IUR alliances promote technological innovation and growth. We argue that the model of company + base + universities or research institutes is helpful to create knowledge and promote technological innovation, and agricultural enterprise + base + farmers are useful for transformation of technology innovation to real productive forces and can help achieve the interests of enterprises and households.
