Combustion analysis of Nano-Aluminum with water
Metal particle combustion especially aluminum particle in water environment was analytically investigated. Effect of particle size, initial pressure and temperature were considered as well. Computational model is divided into 3 regions including 1) liquid water-aluminum zone 2) vapor-aluminum zone 3) reaction zone. Latent heat of vaporization was considered as a function of pressure in case of phase change of water. Also, pressure exponent and constant were studied for various sized Nano particles within the pressure range of 0.1MPa ~ 10MPa.
