The Design Of Vehicle Detection And Identification System

intelligent Transportation System is the trend of the future traffic, its key technology— the research of Automatic Vehicle Identification(AVI) has the far-reaching significance. Based on the analysis of current models of AVI, this thesis designed a compound system using piezoelectric sensor and ultrasonic sensor. The system used the philipss ARM7TDMI-S nuclear and bus open MCL LPC2210 as the control core, a large number of effective feature information acquired by two sensors input MCU via the serial port then achieved vehicle automatic identification through software programming. The system has high accuracy and practicality.
