A Novel Iris Verification System Based on Feature Extraction

摘要：

The paper presents a novel algorithm for iris segmentation in eye images taken under visible and near infrared light. Then, a novel iris feature extraction technique is proposed for high performance iris recognition. We use one dimensional circular profile to represent iris features. The reduced and significant features afterward are extracted by Sobel operator and 1-D wavelet transform.
