Classification and Recognition of Vehicle and Pedestrian in Surveillance

In this paper,we present a novel classifying method for vehicle and pedestrian categories in intelligent traffic surveillance. A dual-layer Bag-of-Words model solve the problem of detecting and recognizing the moving vehicles and pedestrian. In the learning and recognizing stage a two-layer Probabilistic Latent Semantic Analysis is proposed. The experimental results show that the classification and recognition method achieved higher accuracy and speed at the outside compared to existing methods.
