Some numerical experiments with cascadic multigrid method for singular perturbation problems on Shishkin mesh

Shishkin mesh is a very useful tool to construct robust numerical methods to compute the solution of singular perturbed problems. When small values of the diffusion coefficient are small, a large size of mesh is requested. To reduce the computational cost, we propose a cascadic multigrid method for these problems, which works fine on Shishkin mesh. Some numerical experiments confirm that this method is convergent and efficient.
