Design of Supervisory and Control System for Short Circuit and Earth in Smart Grid

To achieve smart grids automatic acquisition and control, a new fault supervisory and control system was designed in smart grid. Defect of common fault supervisory control system, principle and realization of the new fault supervisory control system are introduced. Automatic acquisition and control of the power network are realized through gathering electrical parameters, using microcomputer, GPRS technology, and transmitting fault information detected to power network management system. Preliminary tests show that the fault supervisory control system has self-test and alarm to own communication status, and accurate indication fault type and fault location .
