Optimization of Process Route by Genetic Algorithms(GAs)
Optimization of process route is very complex and difficult in CAPP. Based on the analysis of part surface and constraints mong the surface, a GA is applied to optimization of process route. Process route is optimized using the reasonable coding strategy, objective function, operators of selection, crossover and mutation. An application sample is developed to illuminate the process of optimization of process route by GAs. The results show that the algorithm can obtain optimal or nearoptimal process route which meets specific production requirements.
