Simplification of Ball Bearing Numerical Model under Shock Response

The precise FE (finite element) model of deep groove ball bearing 61801 is presented in this paper. Simulative analysis of contact stress with ANSYS is demonstrated by utilizing this model. The comparison between simulative and theoretical results proves that the correctness of FE model. Based on the actual acting force condition of bearing, the method to simply the FE model is proposed. The contrastive response analysis between precise model and simplified model is carried out under the same shock load, and the simplified model is validated in respect of accuracy. Using this simplified model, the accuracy is ensured while the time consuming is dramatically decreased. Consequently, the analysis efficiency can be improved.
