Weather Nowcasting Using Area Weightage Method
Nowcasting is a technique for very shortrange forecasting that maps the current weather, and then uses an estimate of its speed and direction of movement to forecast the weather a short period ahead. This Paper describes work carried out to develop a specification to nowcast weather of short region using area weightage technique. Our work presents a new approach in which weather conditions of surrounding regions are used to predict weather of center region. This system follows algorithms which monitor weather parameter of surrounding regions and generates prediction for center region. The resulting components for this system can be widely used for processing data from different models, different locations, and different weather parameters in real time.
